Red Jasper has a rich and varied history, it was revered by ancient people throughout history as a powerful stone of protection, from warriors who used it for physical protection around their energy field, to shamans who worked with its energy during their practice of spirit walking and journeying.
 
With a link to the energy of the blood, through its colour and energy, which is due to a high iron content, It was called the blood of Mother Earth by Native American tribes and the blood of Isis by the Ancient Egyptians. It was believed to detoxify and staunch the flow of blood from wounds.
 
Its high iron content makes it very grounding and stabilizing to the aura. It was used to stimulate health, and re-birth.
