I find the mica in schist holds a message of 'grounding the magic within you' The stone gave me the visual of us floating amongst the stars in the heavens, appearing like the sparkly garnet in the darkness of nothingness, like a star int he cosmos. It will help you ground down your magic, your light and frequencies you are holding, carrying and moving into the earth.  
 
The stone reminds me of the way a star is formed, a process of atoms being squeezed together to release a massive energy which ignites their core.
 
It speaks to you being the star, and the birthing process, which resonates because garnet is a stone that is deeply connected to the scaral, the womb, and creation energies.
