This rough Peridot/Olivine in Volcanic rock specimen was legally collected on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reserve which is a sovereign nation, in Gila County, Arizona. mined solely  by the Apache Indians whose families have collected and sold these minerals for years, it is a sacred stone to them, so important to their local economy and culture.
 
San Carlos is the source of much of the world’s peridot gemstones.
 
Peridot is born of fire and brought to light, one of only two gems (Diamond is the other) formed not in the Earth’s crust, but in molten rock of the upper mantle and brought to the surface by the tremendous forces of earthquakes and volcanoes.  It has also been reported in multiple different meteorites that have crash-landed here on Earth!!!  
 
This raw specimen has small green peridot crystals in several tiny pockets. It is something that geologists and museums geology professors collect as a show piece due to the unusual way it forms.
 
 In early times, peridot was associated with the sun and was believed to possess medicinal powers to local tribes, and held sacred to the Apache Indians.
 
It's Energy.
 
Recently I have been drawn to collecting individual pieces of peridot for the store, when I found these specimens. Their energies felt so fiery with the combination of the lava stone/basalt. they sparked excitement and intrigue, I always love the gnarly, earthy shamanic stones.  I felt like I was holding some special ancient earth gift. It holds fire dragon energies of inner earth, the connection to the apache Indians as the stones guardian really opened my heart even more. I have been on a personal journey with the guardian energies of the natives of Arizona, visiting often, most recently to collect apaches, tear obsidian and connect with the ground.
It feels really special to hold these pieces, the lava stone sends shoots of fire like sparks into the hands and heart, with dragon energy weaving through its flow.  It's all about opening and stirring up your energies, to create strong and clear channels of light through your heads to heart.  It's an 'opening' crystal, showing me how it will open your hand chakras further for healing, and will connect your heart and third eye.  
 
The pockets of peridots energy then move into the spaces and channels the lava stone creates within you
